Mr Khaled Mohammed Al-Aboodi
Mr Khaled Mohammed Al-Aboodi joined the Islamic Development
Bank Group in November 2001 as Deputy Director General
of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of
the Private Sector.
He has over 25 years of experience, having served
at the economic and finance industry in the Middle
East and USA, worked in Saudi Arabia as economic researcher
advisor and then director of the Environment Unit,
then acting director of the International Financial
Institutions Department until 1995 when he was moved
to Washington DC to serve as advisor at the Saudi
Representative Office at the World Bank. Later, he
was appointed as alternate executive director for
Saudi Arabia at the World Bank Board in 1997. Back
in Saudi Arabia, he joined the Saudi Public Investment
Fund (Ministry of Finance) in 2000 as senior economist
where he was in charge of several privatisation operations.
Mr Al-Aboodi is also the Chairman of the Board of
the International Islamic Rating Agency established
in Bahrain.
Mr Al-Aboodi is a Saudi national, and holds a Bachelors
degree in Economics from King Saud University in Riyadh
(1982), and a Masters degree in Economics from the
University of North Eastern, Boston, USA (1987).
