Mr Abdulmajeed Al Bannan

Mr Abdulmajeed Al Bannan joined the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) in October 1994 and held the position of operations officer in the Technical Cooperation Office (1994 - 1996), officer in charge of the Technical Cooperation Office (1997), senior operations officer in Operations and Projects Department-1 (1998 -1999), member of the core team for launching the activities of the Islamic Corporation of the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) (2000), and director, Portfolio and Treasury Department, ICD (2001- to date). Mr Bannan participated in the World Bank Executive Development Program (1998). He also earned the IDB Award for Excellence in Performance for the year 1419H (1999).

Mr Bannan worked previously at the Saudi oil and refining company (Petromin + SAMAREC + Saudi Aramco) during the period 1984 -1994 as civil engineer, lead engineer, project manager, manager of Facilities Engineering Division and acting director of the Kingdom Strategic storage project.

Mr Bannan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University (1982) and University of Colorado at Boulder (1984) respectively.
